Nastazia Femmami

Avocate de formation, Nastazia est également titulaire d’un master en biologie et conservation marine (MSc Marine Environmental Management) de l’Université de York en Angleterre.

Après trois ans d’exercice en tant qu’avocate fiscaliste au sein du cabinet EY Société d’Avocats à Paris, elle décide d’entamer une reconversion professionnelle avec pour objectif de mettre son expérience et ses compétences au service de la protection des océans. Dans le cadre de son master en biologie marine, elle a rédigé son mémoire de fin d’études sur l’élaboration d’un plan de gestion pour l’aire marine protégée South Ari aux Maldives et a réalisé un stage sur les récifs coralliens aux Maldives au sein de la Blue Marine Foundation. Nastazia a rejoint l’équipe BlueSeeds en juillet 2020 en tant que chargée de projet.

Thomas Binet

Thomas holds a PhD in Marine Environmental Economics (Portsmouth, UK) and is an agricultural engineer from AgroParisTech. Specialised in the management of marine natural resources, he has worked as an analyst at the OECD and the Institute for European Environmental Policy in London on European fisheries policies. He was a researcher at the Centre for Aquatic Resource Economics and Management at the University of Portsmouth. He is interested in innovative ways to reconcile nature and economy, by taking biodiversity into account in development strategies, approaches to bio-inspired economics, and financing mechanisms for the conservation of marine ecosystems. Since 2011, he also manages a farm specialized in organic arboriculture, viticulture and cereal growing. Already founder and director of Vertigo Lab, a consultancy firm in Environmental Economics, Thomas is also the founder of BlueSeeds.

Marie-Aude Sévin Allouet

Marie-Aude has been working on marine environment issues since 2009. She started working on the field, on the West Coast of Madagascar, with local communities and carried out scientific studies on MPAs for the BlueVentures NGO.

Her experience at the French Marine Protected Areas Agency on the French MPA policies or as manager for the 3rd International Marine Protected Areas Congress (IMPAC3) allowed her to acquire strong knowledge in international and regional objectives for protecting marine environments.

At the French Biodiversity Agency, she was working on MPA and climate change, cooperation with other countries and international institutions such as the IUCN, the UNESCO and the MPA networks. In addition, in December 2016, she was elected for 3 years Chair of the “Sea and Coastal” Working Group of the Protected Area Commission at the French Committee of the IUCN.

She left her mandate and joined the IUCN Centre for Mediterranean Cooperation in May 2017 bringing her holistic and integrated approaches to tackle Mediterranean marine and coast conservation challenges: create dialogue, think differently, bring innovation and knowledge coming from the global programme of the IUCN, its membership and from partners from the Mediterranean and abroad.

Marie-Aude joined the BlueSeeds team as Director of Operations to supervise and coordinate the whole activities.

Guillaume Le Port​

Guillaume holds a master’s degree in Environmental Policy and Sustainable Development from the Institut Catholique de Paris. Initially specialized in economic valuation of ecosystem services provided by coral reefs, he worked for four years in French Polynesia for IFRECOR and CRIOBE research projects, as well as for several international programs (BfN, IUCN). Thereafter, he focused on cost/benefit analysis of marine protected areas, notably through a Pew Charitable Trust project. At the same time, he also supervised a monitoring program for green sea turtle egg-laying sites and taught at the University of French Polynesia. Having joined Vertigo Lab in January 2018, Guillaume has actively worked on the development and structuring of BlueSeeds. Within the consultancy firm, he has worked on several projects related to marine conservation finance.

Auriane Petit ​

Auriane holds a research master’s degree in History of International Relations and a second master’s degree in International Project Management MRIAE from the University Panthéon-Sorbonne Paris 1. Specialised in the historical, socio-economic and cultural issues involved in the creation of a marine protected area (MPA), she has worked for a foundation (Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation), the UNEP Regional Activity Centre (SPA/RAC) in Tunisia and for the association for the sustainable financing of MPAs The MedFund. Auriane joined the BlueSeeds team in July 2019 to develop and test new approaches to conservation and evaluation in a research-action approach.

Nastazia Femmami

Nastazia is a French qualified lawyer, she also holds a Master’s degree in Marine Biology and Conservation (MSc Marine Environmental Management) from the University of York, UK.

After three years of experience as a tax lawyer at EY Société d’Avocats in Paris, she decided to start a professional reconversion with the objective of using her experience and skills for the protection of the oceans. As part of her Master’s degree in marine biology, she wrote her final thesis on the development of a management plan for the South Ari Marine Protected Area in the Maldives and completed an internship on coral reefs in the Maldives with the Blue Marine Foundation. Nastazia joined the BlueSeeds team in July 2020 as a Project Officer.

Timothée COOK

Biologiste marin et écologue de formation, Timothée est titulaire d’un doctorat sur l’écologie des oiseaux marins des Terres Australes et Antarctiques Françaises.

Il travaille pendant cinq ans comme chercheur à l’Université du Cap sur les interactions entre pêcheries et prédateurs marins dans l’upwelling du Benguela. En parallèle, il collabore à d’autres projets comme l’analyse des effets directs du réchauffement climatique sur les oiseaux marins, l’étude de l’écologie des serpents marins de l’Océan Pacifique, ou l’identification d’aires marines de conservation prioritaire dans le Golfe Persique.

De retour en France, Timothée enseigne l’écologie pendant 3 ans à Paris à l’Université Pierre et Marie Curie puis en BTS Gestion et Protection de la Nature à l’EGPN. Il travaille ensuite comme chercheur chez BLOOM, association pour laquelle il étudie le rôle des subventions européennes dans la dégradation des ressources marines des pays du Sud. Timothée intègre l’équipe BlueSeeds en septembre 2020 en tant que responsable scientifique.

Timothee COOK

Tim is a marine biologist with a doctorate in ecology from the University of La Rochelle on the ecology of seabirds of the French Southern and Antarctic Territories.

He worked for five years at the University of Cape Town on the interactions between fisheries and marine predators in the Benguela upwelling. In parallel, he collaborated on other projects such as the study of the direct effects of global warming on seabirds, the study of sea snake ecology in the Pacific Ocean, or the identification of marine areas of high conservation priority in the Persian Gulf.

Back to France, Timothée lectured ecology for 3 years in Paris at the Marie Curie University, then to future wildlife technicians (BTS Gestion et Protection de la Nature at the EGPN). He then worked as a researcher for BLOOM, an NGO where he studied the role of European subsidies in the degradation of marine resources in southern countries. Timothée joined BlueSeeds in September 2020 as a Science Officer.

Louis Vercauteren

Diplômé d’un Master Entrepreneuriat et Management de Projets, Louis a créé et développé une société dans le secteur du e-commerce qui a été revendue 3 ans plus tard à son principal fournisseur.

Il rejoint ensuite le service d’appui à la création et au développement de la CCI Bordeaux Gironde en tant que conseiller d’entreprises. Après 5 ans, il développe un programme d’accompagnement dédié aux startups du numérique leur facilitant l’accès au financement, les relations avec les grands groupes ainsi que la participation à l’écosystème French Tech : Il coordonne 2 éditions du French Tech Connect (évènement collaboratif de l’écosystème) et participe à l’élaboration de 2 délégations internationales au CES Las Vegas.

En 2018, il prend en charge la coordination de la pépinière d’entreprises de la ville de Bordeaux : Le Campement. Il y accompagne 50 entrepreneurs incluant dans leurs modèles économiques un impact sociétal positif.

Il rejoint l’équipe de BlueSeeds en novembre 2020 avec pour mission la création et le développement d’un incubateur / accélérateur de projets répondant aux enjeux de la conservation marine.

Louis Vercauteren

After graduating from a Masters in Entrepreneurship and Project Management, Louis created and developed a company in the e-business sector, which was sold 3 years later to its main supplier.

He then joined the support service for the creation and development of CCI Bordeaux Gironde as a business advisor. After 5 years, he developed a support program dedicated to digital start-ups, facilitating their access to financing, their relations with big compagnies as well as their participation to the French Tech ecosystem. He was the coordinator of 2 editions of French Tech Connect (collaborative ecosystem event) and participated in the development of 2 international delegations at CES Las Vegas.

In 2018, he led the coordination of the business incubator of the city of Bordeaux: Le Campement. There, he supported 50 entrepreneurs that include a positive societal impact in their economic models.

He joined the BlueSeeds team in November 2020 with the mission of creating and developing a project incubator/accelerator in line with the challenges of marine conservation.

Agathe Clerc

Agathe est diplômée d’un Master de Droit international et européen de l’environnement, validé par un mémoire sur la gestion intégrée de la zone côtière en Méditerranée. Afin d’enrichir son cursus, Agathe a obtenu un Master en Politiques Environnementales et Développement Durable, puis s’est spécialisée dans le tourisme durable. Elle s’est engagée durant 3 années sur des projets d’écotourisme au Costa Rica, avant de travailler 2 ans pour le Blue Flag et la Green Key, deux labels de développement durable. Engagée pour la protection de l’océan, elle a ensuite mené des actions de plaidoyers européens avec Surfrider Foundation Europe avant de rejoindre l’équipe BlueSeeds en octobre 2020 en tant que chargée de communication.

Agathe Clerc

Agathe holds a Master’s degree in International and European Environmental Law, graduating with a thesis on integrated coastal zone management in the Mediterranean. To strengthen her curriculum, Agathe earned a Master’s degree in Environmental Policies and Sustainable Development, thereafter specializing in sustainable tourism.

Agathe worked for 3 years on ecotourism projects in Costa Rica, and then for 2 years for the Blue Flag and the Green Key, two ecotourism labels. Committed to the protection of the ocean. She recently led European advocacy actions with Surfrider Foundation Europe, before joining the BlueSeeds team in October 2020 as a communication officer.

Pierre Coan

Diplômé d’une Maîtrise en administration incluant une spécialisation en communication-marketing à l’Université de Sherbrooke au Québec, Pierre s’est spécialisé en webmarketing et en communication digitale. Couteau suisse en la matière, il a travaillé durant trois ans dans l’industrie musicale, où il coordonnait le marketing digital d’une maison de disques montréalaise.

Pierre est passionné par la nature, et soucieux de mettre ses compétences au service d’une cause qui lui importe. Il a rejoint l’aventure BlueSeeds en mai 2021. Porteur d’initiatives et curieux, il a pour mission d’optimiser la visibilité de BlueSeeds et de ses services sur le web.

Pierre Coan

Pierre obtained a Master’s degree in Administration with a communication/marketing specialization at the Université de Sherbrooke in Quebec, Canada. He specialized in web marketing and digital communications, and is a real all-rounder in these fields. He worked for three years in the music industry, where he coordinated the digital marketing of a record label based in Montreal.

Pierre is fond of nature and is concerned about putting his skills to good use for a cause that matters to him. He joined the BlueSeeds adventure in May 2021. Full of ideas and curious, his mission is to optimize the visibility of BlueSeeds and its services on the web.

Fernando J. Ruiz

Fernando est étudiant au Master en Science, Conservation et Valorisation des Ressources Marines à l’Université Côte d’Azur, et est titulaire d’un Bachelor of Science en Ingénierie avec une concentration en Développement Durable et Global du Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Fernando a travaillé au département de l’environnement de San Francisco dans le domaine de la planification de l’action climatique et a réalisé l’analyse des émissions de la ville. Avant cela, il a lancé une micro-entreprise en Tanzanie qui a converti des sacs en plastique jetés en produits recyclés réutilisables et durables. Il a rejoint l’équipe de BlueSeeds pour développer des mécanismes de financement du carbone bleu afin de préserver les prairies sous-marines de posidonies en Méditerranée.

Fernando J. Ruiz

Fernando is a Master’s candidate in Science, Conservation & Valorization of Marine Resources (MARRES) at the Université Côte d’Azur, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a concentration in Sustainable & Global Development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Fernando worked at the San Francisco Department of the Environment in climate action planning and conducted the city’s emissions pathway analysis. Before then, he initiated a micro-enterprise in Tanzania that converted discarded plastic bags into reusable and durable upcycled products.

He is joining the Blue Seeds team to develop blue carbon financing mechanisms to conserve Posidonia seagrass meadows in the Mediterranean Sea.

Yousr Ben Fadhel

Yousr est diplômée d’un Master of Business Administration à l’Institut Franco-Américain de Management à Paris. Elle a également suivi une double formation en management de la santé, et en recherche clinique.

Elle a exercé dans le secteur de l’industrie pharmaceutique sur des projets internationaux comme la mise en place de technologies innovantes en systèmes d’information. Dans des start-ups numériques, elle a occupé les postes de Business Developer, Country Manager et directrice de secteur dans des domaines variés tels que le facility services et le tourisme.

Entrepreneuse dans l’âme, elle a obtenu le prix Silver Eco 2019 pour son initiative en faveur du bien vieillir. Son projet pour le transport des personnes à mobilité réduite en Afrique a également remporté un prix de l’innovation.

La Méditerranée fait partie de son ADN. Elle a passé une partie de son enfance dans le Sahel tunisien, une zone où les pêcheurs sont propriétaires de parcelles d’eau : cette particularité tunisienne est une exception mondiale.

Yousr rejoint l’aventure BlueSeeds en août 2021 en tant que chargée de projet pour la solution de gestion des mouillages BlueMooring.

Yousr Ben Fadhel

Yousr has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration she obtained at the Franco-American Institute in Management in Paris.

She also obtained a double degree in health management and clinical research. She worked in the pharmaceutical industry on international projects such as the introduction of innovative technologies in information systems; then as a Business Developer, Country Manager and Sector Director for digital start start-ups in varied sectors such as facility services and tourism.

Entrepreneur at heart, she obtained the 2019 Silver Eco Prize for her initiative on ageing well. Her project on transport solutions for persons with reduced mobility in Africa also won the Innovation prize.

The Mediterranean is part of her DNA. She spent her childhood in the Tunisian Sahel, where some fishers own parcels of the waters: this particularity is only found in Tunisia.

Yousr joined the BlueSeeds adventure in August 2021 as the Project Officer for the mooring management solution BlueMooring.

Camille Crété

Fraichement diplômée du Master de relations internationales de Sciences Po Bordeaux, et titulaire d’un Bachelor en sciences politiques, Camille est sensibilisée depuis très jeune aux enjeux environnementaux.

C’est son engagement pour la cause qui l’a poussé à réaliser son stage de fin d’étude au Ministère de la Transition Ecologique. Elle a alors eu l’opportunité de travailler sur l’organisation du Congrès mondial de la nature de l’UICN et la 15ème conférence des parties à la convention sur la diversité biologique (COP 15).

Son arrivée chez Blueseeds à la rentrée 2021 lui permet de lier son intérêt pour la conservation de la biodiversité à sa passion pour la voile, et le milieu marin. Elle vient renforcer l’équipe et apportera son soutien sur de multiples projets BlueSeeds.

Camille Crété

Camille recently graduated from Sciences Po Bordeaux with a Master of International Relations and has a Bachelor’s degree in political science. She has been interested in environmental issues since her youth.

Her commitment to the subject led her to do an internship at the French Ministry of Ecological Transition, in Paris. There, she had the opportunity to work on the organization of the IUCN World Conservation Congress and the Fifteenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP 15).

She arrived at BlueSeeds in September 2021. This internship allows her to combine her interest in the conservation of biodiversity with her passion for sailing and the marine environment. Camille’s presence will reinforce BlueSeeds’ work as she will bring her support on multiple projects.

Maxime de Lisle

Maxime supervise le développement des futurs projets de BlueSeeds.

Il a rejoint l’équipe en mars 2022, après avoir lutté contre la pêche illégale en Afrique de l’Ouest à bord des navires de Sea Sheperd. Il a passé sept mois en mer, en tant qu’officier au Bénin, et commandant en second au Gabon. Auparavant, il a travaillé durant 10 ans de le secteur privé, en débutant sa carrière en tant que consultant en stratégie. Il a notamment conseillé des agences de développement et des entreprises opérant dans des pays en situation post-conflit. Il s’est ensuite lancé dans l’entreprenariat, en tant que chargé de développement et membre du comité exécutif de Ouihelp, une start-up qui réinvente les soins à domicile pour séniors. Il a géré une équipe de 100 personnes des départements des opérations, des ventes et du marketing.

Dans son temps libre, Maxime écrit des bandes dessinées abordant des thèmes comme le réchauffement climatique, la surpêche et le plein-air. La première BD paraîtra le 1er juin 2022.

Maxime est diplômé d’un MSc en stratégie et management obtenu à l’ESSEC Business School, et d’un BSc en finance de l’Université Paris Dauphine-PSL.

Maxime de Lisle

Maxime oversees the development of BlueSeeds’ future projects.

He joined the team in March 2022, after spending some time fighting against illegal fishing in West Africa onboard Sea Shepherd ships. He spent seven months at sea, as navigation officer in Benin, and as Second in command in Gabon.

Previously, he worked for 10 years in the private sector, starting his career in strategy consulting, advising development agencies and corporates operating in post-conflict countries, including Iraq where he was Country manager. He then moved to entrepreneurship, as Head of Growth and Member of the Executive Committee of Ouihelp, a start-up reinventing senior home care services. He managed a team of 100 people, in operations, sales and marketing.

In his spare time, Maxime writes graphic novels tackling climate change, overfishing and outdoor adventure. The first one will be published June 1st, 2022.

He holds a Msc in Strategy and Management from ESSEC Business School, and Bsc in Finance from Université Paris Dauphine-PSL.
