Making carbon financing more accessible<\/p>\n

A programme to help Guinea-Bissau communities sell carbon credits<\/h2>\n

In West Africa, declining mangroves store carbon that can be valorised on the voluntary market.<\/p>\n

The WAM project aims to equip communities in the Cacheu region of Guinea-Bissau, who protect these ecosystems, to generate and sell certified credits. This will enable them to finance their conservation activities and diversify their income. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Making subsidies more accessible<\/p>\n

A EMFAF-based pre-financing mechanism for sustainable European small-scale fishing<\/h2>\n

Small-scale fishers are under-represented among the beneficiaries of the European fisheries fund: EMFAF. Submitting a grant application is complex and requires fishers to advance the funds. <\/p>\n

Our solution BlueMove finances technical assistance to help these fishers submit a sustainable fishing project to EMFAF, and then implement it. The mechanism pre-finances certain projects pending a positive grant decision. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Many marine protected areas are underfunded, and devote a great deal of resources to managing the flow of tourists into their zones.<\/p>\n
