First BlueSeeds mission in Croatia

To better understand the stakes of the project, the BlueSeeds team went to the island of Lastovo in Croatia to work with the WWF Adria team developing there a Small-Scale Fishery (SSF) project. On the agenda: understanding the issues related to the local Marine Protected Area (MPA), reflection on alternative income-generating activities for local fishermen and socio-economic development linked to the MPA.

At the end of this mission, an innovative approach for marine conservation was proposed to local partners and stakeholders: the Blue Local Incubator.
